DREAM THEATER was honored with a Grammy in the “Best Metal Performance” category in at the 64th annual Grammy Awards, which was held last night (Sunday, April 3) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. DREAM THEATER was nominated for “The Alien”, a track from its 2021 album “A View From The Top Of The World”.
FOO FIGHTERS were honored in three categories. The band won “Best Rock Performance” for “Making A Fire”, “Best Rock Song” for “Waiting On A War” and “Best Rock Album” for “Medicine At Midnight”. FOO FIGHTERS were supposed to play at this year’s Grammy Awards but canceled the performance following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. The Academy also took a moment to remember Taylor in a wonderful tribute video which can be seen below.
