Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness himself, might be gearing up for one final curtain call. According to his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, the legendary rockstar is planning two farewell shows in his hometown of Birmingham, England. This news comes amidst Sharon‘s ongoing “Cut The Crap” tour, which brings her to Birmingham this week and London next.

“He won’t tour again, but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye,” Sharon revealed. “He feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly.'” And what better place to do it than in Aston Villa, Ozzy‘s stomping grounds? Sharon hinted that the shows might even take place at Villa Park, the iconic stadium of Ozzy‘s beloved football club.

Despite his recent health struggles, including a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and a nasty fall that dislodged metal rods placed in his spine following a quad-bike accident in 2003, Ozzy‘s spirit and vocal prowess remain undimmed. “His voice is still absolutely perfect,” Sharon enthused. “And all the time he has been off, he still does his singing lessons, so his voice is perfect. And he can joke, yeah. He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music, you can’t not like Ozzy; he just draws you in.”

Ozzy‘s farewell shows will undoubtedly be a bittersweet celebration of a musical icon’s career. Let’s raise our horns and get ready to scream “Flying High Again” one last time.
