Calling All Guitar Wizards: Help Crafting the Sound of FLOTSAM AND JETSAM’s Next Album!

Thrash legends Flotsam and Jetsam are brewing another sonic earthquake, and they’re inviting you to join the seismic party! Michael Gilbert has thrown down the gauntlet with a challenge that’ll test your fretboard sorcery and potentially land your signature tone on their upcoming album.

“I have a challenge for you guitar shredders out there. Right now, we are right smack in the middle of making another Flotsam and Jetsam album, and I am chasing tones. So I’m asking you, guitar shredders out there, to send me your favorite profile. I’d love to sample it and see if I can use it on the record.” Gilbert says in the video below.

Forget fancy gear limitations. Whether you wield a digital monster like a Kemper or a trusty combo amp and pedal arsenal, your sonic alchemy is all they crave. Gilbert’s on the hunt for the perfect profile, the riff-igniting recipe that’ll send fans into moshing ecstasy. So dust off your amp sims, tweak those knobs, and unleash your inner mad scientist of overdrive.

“And I don’t care what it is, if it’s a Kemper, if it’s a Fractal, if it’s a Line 6, or say you even got a combo amp and you have an effects array, send me the list of your effects. I’ll try it out, and if I use it on the record, that’ll be awesome,” he adds

But the rewards aren’t just bragging rights and immortalized ears. The chosen few will see their name etched in the album’s credits, alongside a swag bag of Flotsam and Jetsam goodies – think a band shirt you can shred in and, of course, the album itself, fresh from the sonic forge. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime chance to become part of thrash royalty!

“But the best part about it is, if I do use it, I’m going to put you in the credits, and I’m going to send you a shirt, and I’m going to send you a copy of the record. That’s a pretty good deal!” Gilbert finishes.

So, what are you waiting for? Time is ticking, guitar warriors! Dig deep into your sonic vaults, and send those preferred profiles Gilbert’s way (details in the video below). Remember, your riffs could become some of the backbone of Flotsam‘s next sonic assault.
