The one and only L.A. Guns, with Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis, recently released their 15th studio album, Leopard Skin, on April 4th via Cleopatra Records.
Leopard Skin is a scorching testament to the enduring power and chemistry of the band’s core creative duo – guitarist Tracii Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis. Together, they prove they haven’t lost a step after over three decades in the music game, as it’s their fifth studio album in seven years since they reunited. Joined by Johnny Martin on bass, Ace Von Johnson on guitar, and Adam Hamilton on the drums, L.A. Guns sounds as vital and energized as ever.
The album is a triumphant return to form that showcases the gritty spirit that is the hallmark of their sound. With songs “Taste It,” “Lucky Motherfucker,” and “The Grinder,” this album is a relentless onslaught of hard-hitting rock & roll that refuses to compromise or hold anything back. The band’s signature riffage, driving rhythms, and emotionally charged vocals are on full display, with each song delivering its own unique blend of attitude, aggression, and rebellious energy.
Leopard Skin can be ordered here, and tickets for their upcoming tour with Cinderella can be found here.

Correspondent Robert Cavuoto spoke with Tracii about the creative process behind Leopard Skin and his enthusiasm for combining various genres of music, such as R&B influences, funk grooves, and hard rock riffs, to develop diverse songs.
Tracii also shared that one song off the new album has only a 1% chance of being heard live. He also divulged that he was at his peak happiness level during Leopard Skin” development, compared to the eleven songs about misery on their previous album, Black Diamonds.
Tracii shared that if fans want Cocked & Loaded Part 2, they should listen to Missing Peace as they are just not that kind of band, but that’s not to say they won’t have a super high energy, dirty, filthy, sleazy metal record again. He discussed that he and Steve Riley had a lot of bad blood – like you ‘re-a-bad-human-being kind of bad blood so Tracii was not surprised to learn Steve Riley‘s LA Guns had recently disbanded but was surprised that they would even attempt it in the first place.
