Interview with Dave Meros (Spock’s Beard)

Dave Meros has played bass with the legendary progressive rock band Spock’s Beard since the band formed in 1995. His classic bass tone is an integral part of the Beard’s sound and enduring appeal. Hot off the success of their Snow Live concert release (Deluxe Art-Box Set created by our very own Joel Barrios), Spock’s Beard is is preparing to release their 13th studio album Noise Floor in May of this year. With an appearance at 2019’s Cruise to the Edge just announced and more live shows being planned for later this year, the Beard continue to impress fans and critics alike despite key personnel changes over the course of their history.

In this interview, Dave discusses many aspects of the band with correspondent and long-time Spock’s fan Scott Medina. The relaxed conversation covers the band’s past, present and possible futures, and also features cameo appearances from Dave’s rooster in the background. Enjoy this time with one of the architects of Spock’s Beard! You can listen to the whole conversation in the audio below.

Thanks for the interview Scott! Always great to hear from Dave. An amazing bass player and a really humble guy. Can’t wait for Noise Floor’s release…
