2021 was a banner year for English guitarist and keyboard player Dave Bainbridge. Culminating in the release of his ambitious solo album “To the Far Away”, Bainbridge also made a significant impact on two of the year’s other top albums: Lifesigns“Altitude” and Downes-Braide Association’s “Halcyon Hymns”. Equally masterful on guitar and keyboards, Bainbridge has been an in-demand musician amongst his peers ever since starting the legendary band Iona over 30 years ago. A sense of ecology and spirituality exudes from his work which draws from an intriguing mix of Celtic, classical and progressive rock influences.
