TALKING PERSPECTIVES: PROGPOWER USA XX Retrospective – Days I and II (Episode No. 27)

Early September really is the most wonderful time of the year for a group of dedicated metalheads who flock to Atlanta for the annual ProgPower USA festival. To recap the first two days of the twentieth edition of the festival, Talking Perspectives host Gonzalo E. Pozo and Sonic Perspectives totalitarian overlord Joel Barrios linked up with longtime attendee and Imminent Sonic Destruction bassist Bryan Paxton and two first-timers, Alexa O’Hara and new SP contributor Samantha Buckman. In the first of two ProgPower postmortems, the crew discusses each band’s performance, the behind the scenes happenings that are needed to make the festival happen in the first place, and even make room for a surprise appearance by ProgPower co-promoter Milton Mendonça and his boundless admiration for Day 2 headliners Evergrey.

So have a seat, and brace yourself yourself to listen to these guys analyzing each performance, band after band for almost 90 minutes. Relive what went down a month ago during the first two days of the Festival, and fear not, days 3 and 4 are coming tomorrow. Listen to this episode and share it around your social media channels for your friends to know about arguably the best metal event in the US right now.
