Swedish dark metal outfit Tribulation is set to release their latest album, “Sub Rosa In Æternum,” on November 1st via Century Media Records. The band has now shared the official lyric video for their newest single, ‘Tainted Skies’.
The band, known for their unique blend of gothic and death metal, has crafted a new sonic landscape that draws inspiration from Italian horror cinema, British goth, and Art Deco aesthetics.
The album’s first two singles, ‘Saturn Coming Down’ and the recently released ‘Tainted Skies’, offer a glimpse into Tribulation‘s evolution. Guitarist Adam Zaars describes the new single and lyric video as: “The old and the new. ‘Tainted Skies’ is a fairly straight forward Tribulation song written by Joseph. He gives the whole sound his own spin and takes us through murky depths and shadowy skies, from death to new life.”
Following the success of their 2021 album, “Where The Gloom Becomes Sound,” and the critically acclaimed 2023 EP, “Hamartia,” Tribulation continues to push boundaries and redefine their sound.
Fans can catch Tribulation live as they support Opeth on their North American tour this October, culminating in a Halloween show in San Francisco.
With “Sub Rosa In Æternum,” Tribulation promises to deliver a haunting and atmospheric listening experience that will captivate both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
