2021’s hottest heavy band, SPIRITBOX, have today announced the release of their first new music since their incendiary, chart topping debut album, “Eternal Blue”. The new release comes in the form of a 3-track single titled “Rotoscope” and sees the band bringing their unique spin to a more industrial, 90s alt-rock-tinged sound. The new drop is accompanied by an official music video directed by Max Moore which can be watched now below. The full 3 songs can be streamed HERE.
“Rotoscope” Track-list:
1. Rotoscope
2. Sew Me Up
3. Hysteria
Fresh off of a run of incredible US festival performances and their first full US tour with Underoath, SPIRITBOX are currently conquering the rest of the world one jaw-dropping performance at a time. The band recently played what is already being referred to as a legendary set at Download Festival, UK and followed it with two completely sold-out shows at London’s Islington Academy. The second of which saw the band joined by current America’s Got Talent viral superstar, 10 year old Harper, who performed the band’s break out hit, “Holy Roller” both as her audition for the TV show (watch here) and live with the band in London (watch here). Here’s what the UK press have been saying:
“Spiritbox are coming to claim the thrones of all the old Kings who have become complacent in the post-Covid world.” – Daily Express
“One of the most anticipated acts of the [Download] festival, they packed out the Avalanche tent long before they arrived on stage, totally in their element as they ripped through a dynamic set that demonstrated exactly why they’re racking up so many millions of views.” – The Forty Five
“Whether you were there or not, Spiritbox have staked a claim on being the metal band every fan needs to know after Download Festival 2022, on a rocket ride that seemingly has no end in sight.” – Metal Hammer
“Flawlessly tight, spine-tinglingly heavy and wholly powerful, it’s hard not to feel a little bit choked up. That choked-up feeling lingers as colossal moment after colossal moment follows….One of the most brutal, beautiful, and breathless shows this room has ever seen.” – Rock Sound
“This must surely be the start of what deserves to be a lifelong love affair with Download, and the UK live scene at large. There’s plenty of Download sets that become the stuff of legend, the “I was there,” moments that are talked about for years afterwards. Trivium ’05. Slipknot ’09. Spiritbox ’22 deserves to be the new addition to that illustrious hall of fame.” – Kerrang
“Their 30-minute set “is a good first date”, according to vocalist Courtney LaPlante, but it feels far too short to fully show off the brilliance of their progressive, energized metal.” – NME
SPIRITBOX will remain in Europe playing major festivals and selection of one-off headline shows until June 30th. They will then play US festivals – Rock Fest and Inkcarceration with a sold-out headline show in Grand Rapids in between. They then play another one-off, sold-out headline show with Dayseeker and Brand of Sacrifice before heading out to lay waste to arenas across the US with Ghost and Mastodon.
