Metal stalwarts Nervosa have confirmed the release of a new studio album, Slave Machine, arriving April 3, 2026 via Napalm Records. The upcoming release marks the band’s sixth full-length effort and finds the Brazilian/Greek death-thrash outfit pushing their sound harder and faster than ever. After years of dominating major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, and steadily building their reputation with fans and critics worldwide, Nervosa are focused on reinforcing their place at the front of the genre. With founding guitarist Prika Amaral now firmly established as the band’s vocalist following 2023’s Jailbreak, the group continues to hit with relentless force.
The album once again sees Nervosa teaming up with producer Martin Furia of German thrash legends Destruction, striking a balance between classic aggression and a sharper modern edge. Slave Machine adds twelve new tracks to the band’s catalog and is currently available for pre-order here.
Alongside the album announcement, Nervosa have shared the title track, “Slave Machine”, offering an early look at what lies ahead. The song wastes no time ramping up the intensity, pairing breakneck speed with a surprisingly catchy alternative-style bridge. The track signals a fresh chapter for the band while staying rooted in their trademark ferocity.
Speaking about the “Slave Machine” single, Nervosa explained: “This song is everything that we want to say and play, many different vocal layers and guitar melodies like a scream to say that we are all part of the “Slave Machine””.
The band also shared their perspective on the album as a whole, stating: “Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of Nervosa, and we are proud to take this step further, keeping our roots”.
Across its twelve tracks, the five-piece explores their crushing style with added depth and dynamics. Opener “Impending Doom” sets a dark tone, slowly building tension through thunderous riffs and sharp, driving drums. The title track “Slave Machine” follows with an immediate burst of speed, blending an infectious chorus with unexpected twists. “Ghost Notes” delivers tightly wound riffs and relentless percussion, highlighted by the fierce vocals of Prika Amaral and a standout guitar solo. The band leans into pure aggression on “Beast Of Burden”, while “You Are Not A Hero” introduces a massive chorus that anchors the album with a true anthem moment.
As the record continues, “Hate” hits with raw intensity, “The New Empire” balances destruction with melody, and “30 Seconds” pushes toward new extremes. “Crawl For Your Pride” combines sharp social commentary with punishing songwriting, while “Learn Or Repeat” and “The Call” weave modern groove into old-school thrash foundations. The album closes with “Speak In Fire”, a dark and menacing finale that brings Slave Machine to a fierce conclusion.
