Nailed To Obscurity is now streaming their new single “Clouded Frame,” which is sure to please anyone looking for that Paradise Lost or In Mourning-type gloom today. Also, good luck getting the chorus out of your head.

“Sometimes you struggle to get all the bits and pieces together to memorize a stroke of fate correctly, but you come to realize that certain details became unreachable,” said vocalist Raimund Ennenga. “They stay hidden in the blind spot of your memory. You are standing in front of the ‘Clouded Frame’, but it’s just impossible to get a proper view of what’s inside.”

“We took this idea as the central image of the song ‘Clouded Frame’ which – in our point of view – really captures this emotion with its eruptive moments as well as its mellow and very fragile chorus.”

NAILED TO OBSCURITY from Northern Germany have successfully developed their distinctive style, somewhere between melodic death metal and doom with progressive influences. Their underground debut “Abyss…” exhibited these rare first glimmers, but their albums “Opaque” (2013), “King Delusion” (2017) and especially “Black Frost” (2019), which charted on #37 in the German charts, showed a real evolution within their sound, allowing the band to take some huge steps. Their melancholic songs never fall short of the necessary brutality, and always create a distinct dynamic that mesmerizes the listener who profoundly experiences every note and every word. This magic has already won over fans of festivals such as Wacken Open AirSummer Breeze, Bloodstock, Brutal Assault, and Party.San Open Air as well as those who attended their tours throughout Europe with bands like AMORPHIS, SOILWORK, JINJER, DARK TRANQUILLITY, EQUILIBRIUM, LORD OF THE LOST… plus their appearances alongside renowned acts such as ARCH ENEMYPARADISE LOST and AT THE GATES.
