Grammy Award winning electronic rock outfit Muse has been announced as the Sunday headliner for the Danny Wimmer Presents Festival Aftershock – joining My Chemical Romance, KISS, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Judas Priest, Shinedown, Papa Roach, and many more artists for the October festival.
“It’s been too long and we can’t wait to come back to Northern California and headline Aftershock on Sunday, October 9 in Sacramento,” said Matt Bellamy of Muse.
Muse will be standing in for the Foo Fighters, who canceled all their tour dates following the sudden death of the band’s longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins.
This year marks the 10th anniversary for Aftershock, which drew about 145,000 fans last year, and it features more than 90 acts on this year’s bill. The festival will take place between October 6 and 9 at the Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA. Passes are available HERE.
