Mikkey Dee, the acclaimed Swedish drummer celebrated for his time with Motörhead, Scorpions, and King Diamond, is set to join forces with the Sweden Symphony Orchestra for a six-date tour across Sweden in early 2026. The performances will showcase “the amazing hits by KISS,” blending rock’s raw energy with the grandeur of a full symphony orchestra.
According to the official announcement, “the result will be a unique experience where the power of rock meets the magnificence of the orchestra. Audiences can expect a night filled with iconic songs, powerful arrangements, humor and an orchestra made up in classic KISS style — a playful and grand tribute to the band’s legacy and energy.”
Joining Dee on stage will be Mats Levén, the powerful Swedish vocalist renowned for his work with Yngwie Malmsteen, Candlemass, Vandenberg, and tours with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Leading the ensemble will be conductor Ulf Wadenbrandt, known for his work in symphonic pop and rock concerts, as well as for his numerous recordings that merge classical, pop, and rock styles.
With the Sweden Symphony Orchestra and other notable collaborations, Wadenbrandt has delivered numerous performances across Swedish stages and has frequently appeared on national television and radio.
Over the years, Wadenbrandt has conducted orchestras including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Dala Sinfonietta, Jönköping Sinfonietta, and Borås Symphony Orchestra, among others.
He has also worked with many of Sweden’s top artists — from Robert Wells, E-Type, Agnes Carlson, Loreen, to Peter Jöback — and internationally with performers such as Susan Boyle and Elena Paparitzou.
Known for seamlessly blending musical genres and pushing creative boundaries, Wadenbrandt continues to redefine what a symphonic orchestra can achieve — a spirit that will no doubt shine through in this rock-meets-orchestra celebration of KISS.
