As Black Sabbath prepares to take the stage one final time in Birmingham, their hometown is honoring them in a way no one saw coming — with bricks. Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham has unveiled a cheeky, detailed LEGO tribute to the godfathers of heavy metal just in time for their farewell show.
The custom build is set in a miniaturized version of Villa Park — the very venue where Black Sabbath will perform their final hometown gig — and features none other than LEGO Ozzy Osbourne, front and center. Microphone in hand, Ozzy is instantly recognizable with his round glasses, flowing hair, and a touch of signature mischief. The scene even includes stained glass windows, blending architectural detail with decades of metal history.
Built by the Centre’s expert master model builders, the scene is now a permanent part of Miniland, which showcases iconic landmarks and cultural legends from around Birmingham.
“Black Sabbath are true Birmingham icons, and this felt like the perfect way to honor their final hometown show,” said Amy Langham, general manager of Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham. “Our master model builders had great fun bringing Ozzy and the band to life in LEGO form, and we hope it strikes a chord with Sabbath fans young and old.”
Visitors can check out the miniature metal tribute starting Tuesday, July 1. And yes, no bats were harmed in the making of this model.
