In 2026, Behemoth will bring their groundbreaking debut Sventevith (Storming Near The Baltic) back to the stage for a series of special European festival appearances, including a major performance at Beyond The Gates in Bergen, Norway. The shows will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album’s original release, marking a return to the band’s earliest roots.
Frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski will revisit the dark beginnings of his musical journey, performing Sventevith (Storming Near The Baltic) in its entirety for the first time. This milestone event will allow fans to experience the record as a complete conceptual piece — a rare opportunity to witness the band reconnect with its origins.
Joining Behemoth on this series of exclusive shows are Icelandic black metal innovators Misþyrming, known for their raw, uncompromising sound that has helped shape the current wave of modern black metal. Together, they will channel the essence of Sventevith — an album that not only introduced Behemoth to the world but also set the stage for their rise from the underground to international prominence.
Performed live in full for the first time, Sventevith will serve as both a tribute and a reinvention, bridging three decades of evolution while celebrating the enduring legacy of Behemoth’s early work.
Beyond The Gates 2026 will run from July 29 through August 1, marking the festival’s 14th edition. The event has become a cornerstone of the global metal scene, drawing fans from more than 50 countries. Held in the heart of Bergen, the festival utilizes several venues across the city — including the iconic Grieghallen and USF Verftet — creating an immersive celebration of extreme music.
Gold passes for Beyond The Gates are already in limited supply, underscoring the anticipation for what promises to be one of Behemoth’s most memorable performances to date.
