Three of rock’s most distinctive and powerful voices — Amy Lee of Evanescence, Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox, and Poppy — have teamed up for a new single, “End Of You”, released today via Sumerian Records. The release is accompanied by a visually striking and intense music video that matches the energy of the song.
Described as a bold collaboration between three powerhouse artists, “End Of You” was first hinted at last week when the trio posted a mysterious teaser on Instagram. The full track showcases dark, emotive lyrics with a message of empowerment, highlighted by the line, “the end of you is the start of life for me.”
Amy Lee has long been recognized as a leading voice in rock. As the co-founder, singer, and songwriter of Evanescence, she has helped shape modern rock music. The band’s debut album, Fallen (2003), was a massive success, spending 43 weeks in the Billboard Top 10 and selling over 17 million copies worldwide, including 10 million in the U.S., earning diamond certification. The iconic video for their hit single “Bring Me to Life” has surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube.
In March 2021, Evanescence released their fifth studio album, The Bitter Truth, which featured “Better Without You”, a single that spent 27 weeks on the U.S. Rock Radio chart, peaking in the Top 10. More recently, their single “Afterlife”, featured in the Netflix series Devil May Cry, achieved more than 75 million streams and 10 million YouTube views in just a few weeks, becoming the band’s first-ever No. 1 on the U.S. Rock Radio chart.
Amy has also been active with other projects, including Hand That Feeds, a collaboration with Halsey, and Evanescence’s “Fight Like A Girl” (feat. K.Flay), both featured in the film Ballerina from the John Wick universe. “Fight Like A Girl” is currently climbing the Rock & Alternative radio charts. The band is now finishing work on their next album, scheduled for release in 2026, and will tour Australia and New Zealand with Metallica later this year.
Courtney LaPlante has built a reputation as one of heavy music’s most innovative vocalists with her band Spiritbox. Their debut album, Eternal Blue, debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and marked the start of their rise as genre-defying artists. Their Fear Of Fear EP brought them back-to-back Grammy nominations, with “Jaded” recognized in 2024 and “Cellar Door” in 2025.
The band has also collaborated beyond metal, teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion on a remix of “Cobra” and the hard-hitting track “TYG”, which reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Their second full-length album, Tsunami Sea, released in 2025 through Pale Chord / Rise Records, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, solidifying their reputation as trailblazers in heavy music. Known for electrifying live performances, Spiritbox, led by LaPlante, continues to push the boundaries of modern metal.
Poppy is also experiencing a landmark year. Her collaboration with Knocked Loose, “Suffocate”, earned a nomination for Best Metal Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards. This follows her groundbreaking 2021 nomination for “Bloodmoney”, when she became the first female solo artist ever nominated in that category.
She is currently preparing for the second leg of her sold-out They’re All Around Us tour, celebrating her critically acclaimed album Negative Spaces. Poppy’s creative range extends far beyond music. She has explored performance art with her variety show Improbably Poppy, directed her own videos, authored a sci-fi graphic novel, and experimented with musical styles ranging from heavy metal and grunge-punk to bubblegum pop and trap-infused beats.
The release of “End Of You” brings together these three dynamic artists, blending their unique styles into a powerful anthem that celebrates strength, resilience, and artistic freedom.
