AC/DC Will Reportedly Play 4 Shows In Brazil This September

According to Brazilian journalist Lauro Jardim from O Globo, the legendary AC/DC will be back for a South American whirlwind, with four shows in September 2024. Two concerts will shake the foundations of Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, while the other two will raise the roof at the iconic Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro.

Though not everything is good news. Bassist Cliff Williams, who returned for the 2020 album “Power Up” and the band’s reunion show at the 2023 Power Trip festival, seems that won’t be joining this Brazilian adventure. According to superfan and journalist Dean Delray, Williams is stepping aside again, leaving the bass duties for these shows currently up in the air.

While some rock ‘n’ roll fans might shout ‘Highway to Hell’, AC/DC has a history of weathering lineup changes. Whoever picks up the bass is sure to face the heat of expectations from Brazil’s die-hard AC/DC faithful.

One thing is sure, if AC/DC is indeed coming to Brazil this year, whether it’s with Cliff Williams or a mystery bassist, it’s gonna be one hell of an experience.
