AC/DC fans, get ready to crank up the anticipation – the legendary rock band may soon be back on the road across North America.
Rumors are swirling that AC/DC is preparing to announce a spring and summer 2025 tour, with an official word possibly dropping later this week. This speculation gained momentum when eagle-eyed fans spotted a Facebook event page advertising an AC/DC concert slated for April 11, 2025, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Though the page was swiftly taken down, it reportedly mentioned ticket sales starting this Friday, November 15.
If confirmed, the North American dates would be AC/DC’s first major shows since wrapping their “Power Up” European tour on August 17, 2024, at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. This recent European leg was the band’s first tour since they headlined the 2023 Power Trip festival in Indio, California, and featured AC/DC’s latest lineup. Led by iconic vocalist Brian Johnson, the band’s roster now includes guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and the newest addition, bassist Chris Chaney.
AC/DC’s previous tour, which ran through 2015 and 2016, achieved a massive $180 million gross from over 2.3 million tickets, according to Pollstar. With that legacy in mind, a potential 2025 tour would mark a much-awaited return, sure to thrill old-school fans and newcomers alike. For now, all eyes are on November 15, hoping this legendary act will indeed confirm a fresh round of long-awaited performances.
