ProgStock 2018 is happening in two weeks time! The sophomore edition of the three-day Progressive Rock music Festival will take place Oct 5-7, 2018 at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, New Jersey, USA and tickets are already on sale at this location. ProgStock will be three days of fun, food, merriment, photos, recalling stories, hanging out with old pals, making new friends, and sharing in our mutual love of the musical genre we call PROG.

What’s the difference between a band and a cult band? A charismatic frontman, able to seduce the audience with a single look? A mastermind, conducting his fellow geniuses to sheer excellence? A dedicated and addicted following lasting more than three decades? An outstanding live concept combining stage charisma, true emotions and self-ironic humor? Take it all, add a catalogue in which every new entry is described as ‘the latest masterpiece’ and you get IQ  —  Prog Archives

Founded by Mike Holmes and Martin Orford in 1981, IQ have built up a loyal following over the years. 2014 saw the release of IQ’s eleventh studio album, “The Road of Bones”, supported by live performances in the UK and Europe. It was officially launched at Islington’s Assembly Hall on May 3rd of that year and received unanimous praise across the board, from fans and critics alike. Now the band is coming to ProgStock 2018 to headline Saturday night, and Scott Medina sat down with Mike Holmes to discuss the band’s plan for a setlist, the progress on their new album and much more. You can listen to the audio of their chat in the link below.
