ProgStock 2018 is coming! The sophomore edition of the three-day Progressive Rock music Festival will take place Oct 5-7, 2018 at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, New Jersey, USA and tickets are already on sale at this location. ProgStock will be three days of fun, food, merriment, photos, recalling stories, hanging out with old pals, making new friends, and sharing in our mutual love of the musical genre we call PROG.
This third interview bring us together Dave Kerzner. Dave Kerzner broke onto the progressive rock scene with his band Sound of Contact in 2013. Since then, Dave has won many new fans as a solo artist with the sprawling deluxe set of his New World album and its follow-up Static. He has been in the music industry for decades, initially founding the company Sonic Reality Inc. in 1996, but it’s only in the past decade that Dave has come into his own as a powerful songwriter, keyboardist and vocalist. He enjoys cultivating ongoing collaborations with other prominent musicians and has featured many cameos and appearances on his albums and live shows, including on the past three Cruise to the Edge’s celebrations.
That spirit of collaboration continues on Dave’s latest band project, titled In Continuum which will feature long-time friends and collaborators Randy McStine, John Wesley, Gabriel Agudo, Matt Dorsey, plus integral guests such as Marco Minnemann, Nick D’Virgilio, Jon Davison, Steve Rothery, Derek Cintron and more. In Continuum will release their debut album this fall, with a debut appearances precisely at ProgStock.
Author and contributor Scott Medina chats with Dave about his new band, his move to the role of front man on stage, utilizing social media in a positive way, negotiating politics in lyrics, spirituality and much more. You can listen to the audio of their chat in the link below.
