Following the triumph of his previous album, “People Mover,” which clinched the title of the best fusion album of 2019 by Jazz Times Magazine, Scott is back with a musical revelation that promises to captivate and innovate.

“Karnevel!” is a testament to the guitarist’s exceptional ability to seamlessly blend elements of jazz, rock, funk, and blues in an authentic and musical way. With a diverse set of beautiful compositions, the album reflects Scott‘s 35-year journey as a bandleader, showcasing an artist whose playing and composing continue to evolve and reach new heights.

Recorded live in the studio with the same stellar lineup from “People Mover” Romain Labaye on bass and Archibald Ligonnière on drums – “Karnevel!” captures the raw energy of a live session. Scott‘s dedication to sonic exploration is evident as he spent considerable time layering additional guitar tracks, introducing sounds that push the boundaries of his own musical palette.
