Singer, songwriter, and healing artist, Lauren Monroe will release her newest album, “Messages from Aphrodite,” on September 9, 2022. It is the follow-up to her 2021 release, “Under the Wolf Moon.”
Lauren‘s music and healing have always been a focal point in her life, and it shines bright in her music and lyrics. Her latest single, “Sparrow,” is a perfect example of that by reflecting her deep empathy for others, particularly those dealing with grief and losing loved ones. “Messages from Aphrodite” is dripping with powerful emotion from the first song of “Gold” to the last, which is a powerful cover of “Calling All Angels” by Jane Siberry. All eleven songs vibrate with positive energy and messages of love that only Lauren can create while delivering her slice of Americana.
The new album is produced by Jim Scott and co-produced with Lauren. For this album, she was joined by proverbial whos-whos of talented musicians, including guitarists Greg Leisz (k.d. lang, Matthew Sweet), Tyler Bryant (Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown), Brian Whelan (Dwight Yoakam), Doug Pettibone (Lucinda Williams, Nora Jones, Keith Richards, John Mayer) and David Garza (Fiona Apple); bassists Bob Glaub (Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon), Sebastian Steinberg (Fiona Apple) and Mai Leisz (David Crosby), keyboardist John Ginty (Allman Betts Band); and backing vocalist Tammi Brown (Bobby McFerrin, Quincy Jones). In addition, Rick Allen (Def Leppard), Steve Ferrone (The Heartbreakers), and Beth Goodfellow handled the drums.
After a successful East coast run of shows this past March, Lauren will tour in the fall to support “Messages from Aphrodite,” with Rick Allen on drums. Tour dates and ticket info can be found at this location. You can listen to her newest single, “Sparrow,” HERE.
