The Jane Getter Premonition is a powerhouse band that combines a heady mix of rock, jazz, prog, folk, both instrumental and vocal. Their recent album “Anomalia” is one of 2021’s best, beautifully written, performed and produced (see album review below). With a Pool Stage concert at 2pm on Wednesday, it will be well worth it to get back on the boat from Labadee early enough to catch this set! They’ll also be playing in the Star Lounge on Friday at 6:15pm.
Led by Jane Getter on guitars and vocals, her band on Cruise to the Edge will include Keyboardist Adam Holzman (Steven Wilson, Miles Davis), Drummer Gene Lake (David Sanborn, Joe Zawinul), Bassist and singer Paul Frazier (played with David Byrne for years), and guitarist Aurelien Budynek (Cindy Blackman). Randy McStine will also join the group. They’ll mostly be playing music from their latest release “Anomalia” along with a few older songs and a brand new one. The sets will vary slightly each performance. This is a killer band that will likely be a top new discovery of many Cruisers this year.
