Our spotlight this week is on Gabriel Agudo. While not a newcomer to Cruise to the Edge, 2022 will be the first time that Agudo debuts a new band he has handpicked for this very occasion. Veteran cruisers may have first experienced Agudo with the celebrated Argentinian band Bad Dreams and then some of his subsequent solo appearances. He also has appeared as the lead singer with Dave Kerzner’s “In Continuum” project and works with other CTTE alumni Steve Rothery, Clive Nolan and many more (some of whom may appear as special guests on board if scheduling allows).
With a voice recalling another famous “Gabriel” in the prog music world, Agudo has a long history of covering plenty of prog-rock classics but increasingly he is establishing his own voice through original songwriting. In 2000 he released his solo album “New Life” and has been adding new songs and music videos in the past year. With plenty of material to choose from, and an all-star support live band, Gabriel’s CTTE set promises to be an inspired artistic performance not to be missed.
