During Dream Theater‘s Thursday night set (June 5) at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, frontman James LaBrie experienced a brief stumble in the spotlight. The moment unfolded during the band’s opening number, “Night Terror.”
A video captured by a fan — courtesy of Rossi from Agonyzone magazine — shows LaBrie slipping and falling (around the 6:50 mark of the clip). Yet the singer recovered quickly, lifting himself up and raising his arm, seemingly to let the crowd know that he was unhurt.
This performance was part of the spring/summer leg of Dream Theater‘s 40th Anniversary European Tour, which began just days earlier.
Dream Theater‘s summer/fall 2025 An Evening With Dream Theater U.S. tour will celebrate the band’s recent chart-topping sixteenth studio album, Parasomnia. Set to visit 30 cities across the country, the tour kicks off on September 5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, and concludes on October 25 in Long Island, New York. In between, the band will visit a range of cities including Orlando, Florida; Detroit, Michigan; Kansas City, Missouri; and Providence, Rhode Island.
Parasomnia came out on February 7, 2025, via InsideOut Music. The LP marked Dream Theater‘s first release with drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
