In a recent announcement, Queens Of The Stone Age have canceled all their remaining concerts for 2024. This decision comes as frontman Josh Homme needs to focus on his health following an emergency surgery. The band shared in a statement:
“Queens Of The Stone Age regret to announce the cancellation and/or postponement of all remaining 2024 shows. Josh has been given no choice but to prioritize his health and to receive essential medical care through the remainder of the year.”
The statement continued, expressing gratitude for fans’ support: “Josh and the Queens Of The Stone Age family are so thankful for your support and the time we were able to spend together over the last year. Hope to see you all again in 2025.”
For those with festival tickets, the band advises checking event sites for updates. Ticket holders will be contacted by their point of purchase with information on new dates.
This follows the band’s earlier cancellation of their July and August 2024 European tour dates due to similar health concerns. Josh Homme had previously shared that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and underwent treatment, though he did not disclose the type of cancer. Last fall, he reported feeling “the best I’ve felt all year” after receiving an “all clear” from doctors.
Queens Of The Stone Age’s last performance took place on July 6 in Milan, Italy, following a canceled appearance at the AMA Music Festival due to an unspecified illness.
