Following an unprecedented sold-out concert and globally streamed broadcast, Back To The Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow is officially headed to theaters in early 2026.
Produced by Mercury Studios, the full-length concert film is currently in the works and aims to commemorate one of rock’s most impactful figures. Shot in Ozzy Osbourne‘s hometown of Birmingham, U.K., the 100-minute cinematic feature is being designed to showcase the intensity and emotional depth of Ozzy‘s farewell performance. The film will heavily feature the music of both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, offering fans a focused and immersive experience.
Framed as a tribute to both Ozzy and the trailblazing sound of Black Sabbath, the film distills the sprawling all-day event held at Villa Park into a tight theatrical experience. Standout performances like “War Pigs”, “Iron Man”, “Children Of The Grave”, and a climactic “Paranoid” are all captured in the film, alongside exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. Viewers can expect an intimate glimpse into this historic moment, which many are calling a definitive farewell from the godfather of heavy metal.
The original concert, hosted by Jason Momoa, was packed with surprise guests and earned widespread acclaim as “the most iconic night in metal history.” That night saw electrifying performances from Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, Papa V from Ghost, and a memorable drum battle featuring Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.
As a follow-up to the event, Yungblud has announced the release of his new single, “Changes”, featuring live audio from his Villa Park performance during Back To The Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow. The track became a poignant highlight of the day, capturing the emotional core of the show and demonstrating the cross-generational influence of Ozzy’s music.
Titled “Changes – (Live From Villa Park) Back To The Beginning” (Featuring Nuno Bettencourt, II, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman), the single is a stirring rendition of the 1972 Black Sabbath classic. The version features Yungblud’s commanding vocals, supported by an all-star lineup of musicians. This live performance was delivered in front of over 40,000 fans at Black Sabbath’s home stadium and served as a heartfelt tribute to a band often cited as foundational to rock music.
All proceeds from the single will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice — a philanthropic gesture that Yungblud is particularly proud of.
Reflecting on the moment, he shared: “This was hands down the biggest moment of my entire life. I got to stand on stage and honor one of my heroes, and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.”
He added: “The best part about this release is that we can take such a monumental moment, immortalize it on tape, release it and donate all the money to such important causes in Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. This is what rock and roll is about. Stream it, buy it, add it to your playlist — let’s raise some fucking money.”
Last week, Yungblud shared a touching video on social media, where he’s seen giving Ozzy Osbourne a custom piece of jewelry before the concert. In the clip, Yungblud expresses his gratitude by simply saying: “Thank you for everything.”
The performance earned high praise from Osbourne himself, who said: “He did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.”
