Omnium Gatherum, one of Finland’s most internationally active metal bands, will release their new album, May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way, later this year. They will head out on an extensive North American headlining tour in support of the album.
The tour will span 27 dates across the continent, kicking off on November 16 in Boston, MA, and wrapping up on December 14 in New York City. Joining them on tour are North Carolina-based melodic death metal band Aether Realm and Texas heavyweights Hinayana, who bring an even darker, heavier edge to the lineup.
Omnium Gatherum last toured North America in 2024 alongside Insomnium, following earlier runs with Eluveitie in 2023 and their headlining tour in 2022. All tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 16.
“We’re thrilled and grateful to bring May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way live to our North American fans this November. Over the years, we’ve made a lot of great friends and gained passionate fans across the continent,” the band says. “Touring such a vast land is always an adventure. Especially now, it feels important to give people a momentary escape from a reality that can sometimes feel overwhelming.”
Omnium Gatherum previously announced their 2026 European tour under the same album title. The band also recently released the first single from the upcoming record, “The Last Hero,” along with a music video. Watch it below.
The new album is particularly meaningful for the band, which was formed in 1996 in Karhula, Finland, and takes listeners back to their roots.
“While the lyrics on the new album aren’t autobiographical, they echo everything we’ve come from — the street corners, blasting metal, and dreaming big. It feels good to be able to say that some of those dreams have already come true,” guitarist Markus Vanhala says.
