Limp Bizkit has released a brand-new track titled “Making Love To Morgan Wallen”, marking the band’s first new music since their 2021 album Still Sucks. The song was produced, composed, and written by Fred Durst, with additional composer and lyricist credits going to John Otto, Sam Rivers, Leor Dimant, Wes Borland, and Joel Eriksson. Production was handled by Zakk Cervini.
The single is being released through EA Games and Hollywood Records, coinciding with the upcoming launch of the video game Battlefield 6, which is scheduled to drop on October 10. A remix of Limp Bizkit’s classic 1999 hit “Break Stuff” was previously featured in one of the game’s early trailers, setting the stage for the band’s latest collaboration with the franchise.
The idea for “Making Love To Morgan Wallen” was first teased earlier this month in a lighthearted way when drummer and social media influencer Kristina Rybalchenko posted about it on her channels, sparking speculation among fans.
Earlier this year, Limp Bizkit joined forces with Metallica as a supporting act on select dates of their massive M72 world tour. From April through June, the band performed in cities including Toronto, Nashville, Philadelphia, Tampa, Santa Clara, and Denver, sharing the opening slot with Ice Nine Kills.
Before the release of Still Sucks, Limp Bizkit had gone a full decade without putting out a new studio album, their last being 2011’s Gold Cobra. Despite the gap between releases, the group has continued to spend significant time over the past 15 years writing and recording music, making this latest single a much-anticipated return for fans.
