Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is set to return to Europe this fall for the 2025 leg of his Bass Warrior Tour, launching in late November. The run will feature Ellefson and his solo band performing a mix of Megadeth classics, solo tracks, and hard rock and metal songs that have shaped his four-decade career. Screaming Mad Dee Calhoun will provide direct support throughout the tour, with Wardogs joining as additional support on December 4.
Ellefson shared his excitement about the upcoming shows, stating: “It’s been a super fun and productive year and even more so to be able to close out the calendar one last time with my ‘Bass Warrior’ shows across Europe. I’m excited to be taking this show into new cities as we celebrate each night with songs from across my career and more!”
Joining Ellefson on this tour is Italian guitarist and musical director Andy Martongelli, a longtime collaborator who has toured with him across multiple projects, including Basstory, Ellefson-Soto, and Altitudes & Attitude.
Earlier this year, on March 20, 2025, Ellefson performed at Kino Regis in Bochnia, Poland, as part of the same Bass Warrior Tour. The full concert video is available online.
When the tour was initially announced, Ellefson explained his philosophy behind it, saying, “I’ve approached my career as that of a musical warrior, always accompanied by my bass guitar. I eagerly anticipate bringing these songs back to the stage while sharing introspective and entertaining anecdotes about their creation. It’s been a wild ride of low notes and high stakes!”
For the spring 2025 European leg of the tour, Ellefson was joined by drummer Roberto Pirami (Michael Angelo Batio, Rowan Robertson, Gus G.), vocalist Titta Tani (Ehfar, formerly of Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin), and rhythm guitarist Walter Cianciusi (Geoff Tate Band).
With this latest chapter of the Bass Warrior Tour, David Ellefson continues to honor his musical legacy while celebrating the influences and experiences that have defined his career.
