Iron Maiden‘s Bruce Dickinson finally got to meet the singer he replaced in the band, Paul Di’Anno, for the first time this past weekend (Saturday, July 13) in Croatia.
Dickinson, who is promoting his new solo album, “The Mandrake Project”, performed with his solo band on Saturday at Hala Zagreb in Zagreb, where Di’Anno has been receiving treatment after undergoing major knee surgery nearly two years ago.
Stjepan Juras, the author of many Iron Maiden-related books, who has been managing Di’Anno and taking care of Paul while he has been getting physiotherapy treatments in Croatia, shared several photos and videos of the encounter between the two heavy metal legends. In a caption, Stjepan wrote simply: “History is rewritten once again! For the first time ever!”
This was an exceptional opportunity for the two icons of heavy metal music and the legendary singers of Iron Maiden to meet for the first time after almost half a century. Both singers recently went through the most difficult moments in their lives. Bruce battled and defeated throat cancer, and Paul Di’Anno recently had an extremely complicated operation and is learning to walk again. Neither of them gave up but fought with all their strength to be on tours again, surrounded by fans with new music and new projects.
In his book “666 Days With The Beast”, Stjepan described all the key moments of Paul‘s recovery and new life, including Di’Anno‘s 2022 meeting in Croatia with Steve Harris. A special limited edition of this book can be ordered exclusively at THIS LOCATION.
