The CHI Health Center Arena (capacity 19,000) proved ideal for Ghost’s dramatic spectacle, blending excellent acoustics with a clean, spacious setting and strong sightlines from nearly every angle
From the moment Tobias Forge, adorned as Papa V Perpetua, took the stage, the arena felt transformed into a sacred ritual. The stage lights cast deep purples, blues, and greens throughout the venue. A strict phone‑free policy ensured no screens in the crowd, requiring fans to secure devices in Yondr pouches, a decision that forged a deeper connection between audience and band. The result was an intimate, electrifying audience experience, unmarred by the glow of smartphones.
Opening with the brand-new and powerful “Peacefield”, Ghost immediately immersed fans in the Skeletá era. The set included standout new tracks like “Lachryma”, “Satanized”, and “Umbra”, all elevated by Forge’s theatrical showmanship. Peppered in were classics such as “Devil Church”, “Cirice”, “He Is, Rats”, and the dramatic closer “Monstrance Clock”. All culminating in the triumphant encore of “Mary on a Cross”, “Dance Macabre”, and “Square Hammer”.
The Performance ran for about two hours, from an 8:00 PM start to a stadium‑shaking finale around 10:00 PM. Fans in attendance reflected Ghost’s inclusive, welcoming vibe. Fabricated skeleton-themed costumes adorned the Nameless Ghouls, who maintained precision and cohesion. The avatar‑like lighting, fog, and stage visuals created a ceremonial and gothic ambiance, perfectly in sync with the band’s themes.
Papa V switched between satin suits, deathly regalia, and skeleton couture. Set pieces included smoke cannons and a large lighting fixture that hung above the band. Sparse yet impactful smoke and confetti blasts during climactic moments elevated the emotional crescendo of the songs. Ghost’s Skeletour in Omaha was a masterclass in theatrical rock performance: powerful, polished, and immersive.
From debuting bold new tracks to honoring fan‑favorite classics, the band executed a precise, emotionally charged set. Ghost’s Omaha show was a standout on the Skeletour circuit. It balanced theatricality, musicianship, and fan engagement in a near-flawless performance. Omaha audiences got more than just a concert; they experienced a haunting experience.
