Celebrating more than 30 years in the thrash metal scene, Dark Angel has unveiled a behind-the-scenes YouTube series titled Dark Angel – Resurrection: The Making Of Extinction Level Event.

The documentary takes fans inside the creation of the band’s latest album, offering exclusive studio footage and a closer look at their recording process. Episode 3 is now available to stream, and all three episodes can be viewed online.

The album was recorded and mixed at The Armoury Studios in Vancouver, Canada, with producer Rob Shallcross and renowned mixer Mike Fraser overseeing the sessions.

Extinction Level Event is available now in digital format through Reversed Records.

Dark Angel is releasing limited collector’s edition sets to include signed copies and a limited edition collector’s red vinyl available here. Each package includes:

Dark Angel has kicked off The Extinction Level Event North American Tour, marking their first full-scale run across the U.S. and Canada in more than 30 years.

This long-awaited tour celebrates the release of their comeback album, Extinction Level Event (Reversed Records), which is the band’s first new studio record since 1991.

The current lineup brings together classic-era members, including Gene Hoglan and guitarist Eric Meyer, along with bassist Mike Gonzalez, vocalist Ron Rinehart, and newest member Laura Christine, who joined the group in 2022. Hoglan shared his excitement, saying: “I’m really excited about Dark Angel right now. And everyone who’s heard the new album is losing their minds.”

The tour will feature a rotating lineup of support acts depending on the city, offering fans a wide range of metal styles. Special guests include Sacred Reich, Hirax, Vio-Lence, Midnight, Void, and Interceptor.
