“Revelation,” the new album from Swedish root rock figureheads SIENA ROOT, is officially out on Atomic Fire Records. In celebration of the record’s release, the band presented a new music video for “Dusty Roads.” Watch it below.
Comments the band, “‘Dusty Roads’ is a song that summarizes the theme of the album in both words and sound. It’s a hymn about life on the road and at the same time a farewell to the city. Starting with mellow acoustic tunes, the track develops into a psychedelic heavy rocker just to fade out peacefully.”<
The video was edited once again by Linus Grane who edited the band’s “Little Burden” video and supported by SIENA ROOT‘s Zubaida Solid (vocals, keys) and Love Forsberg (drums).

Fittingly titled, “Revelation” serves as the group’s most versatile offering of their long-spanning career. The record is a musical journey through light and dark, revealing SIENA ROOTS‘ acoustic side as well as their heavier riffs. The soundcape deals with nature and wilderness but also with urban dust and corrosion. The eleven-track offering was recorded analogously at Silence Studio in Koppom, Sweden and Root Rock Studios in Stockholm, Sweden where it was also mixed. Mastering was handled at Stockholm’s Cutting Room.
Founded in the late ’90s, SIENA ROOT are constantly working on something new. They’ve continually changed their approach and experimented with their sound — not only to keep their music fresh but to challenge themselves, which is among the main reason why the group’s relevance remains after all these years. Besides touring with acts such as Deep Purple and Dewolff, the quartet — founding members drummer Love Forsberg and bassist Sam Riffer with guitarist Johan Borgström and vocalist/keyboardist Zubaida Solid — have always brought an infectious performance to stages globally and consistently gaining new fans with every show.
