ROB ZOMBIE Unveils Longer Trailer For His Movie Reboot Of ‘The Munsters’

Rob Zombie recently finished filming his new “The Munsters” movie, and now we’ve got a second (and more in-depth) trailer for it! Unlike the first trailer, this one offers a lot more footage from the film itself and also gives a September release date. It’s worth noting that this trailer includes the footage from the first trailer toward the end, though it’s from a different angle and looks way less gritty.

Zombie‘s film reboot of “The Munsters” reportedly began filming in May 2021 and will feature Zombie‘s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, cast as Lily Munster, and Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster. The cast will also include Daniel Roebuck co-starring as Grandpa Munster. Richard Brake (“31”, “3 From Hell”) is playing Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang. Catherine Schell (“Space: 1999”, “The Return Of The Pink Panther”) is playing “Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen.” Dee Wallace, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson and Jorge Garcia will also star.

Zombie, who is a massive “Munsters” fan, joined Butch Patrick for a commentary track for the film “Munster, Go Home!”, which was released on Blu-ray by Scream Factory in 2020.

A musician, filmmaker, and author, Rob Zombie has directed eight feature films, including 2019’s “3 From Hell”, 2016’s “31” and 2012’s “The Lords Of Salem”. His other directing credits include the cult favorite “House Of 1000 Corpses” and its companion, “The Devil’s Rejects”, along with the 2007 re-imagining of John Carpenter‘s “Halloween”, plus its sequel, “Halloween 2”. Zombie also developed his own comic book series into an R-rated animated feature, “The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto”.

As a rock icon and filmmaker with a unique vision, Rob has continuously challenged audiences as he stretches the boundaries of both music and film. He has sold over 15 million albums worldwide and is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of eight feature films with a worldwide gross totaling more than $150 million. Each of Zombie‘s seven solo studio albums has debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, including “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse”, in 2021. Zombie is an eight-time Grammy nominee, with his most recent nomination up for “Best Metal Performance” at the 2022 awards. Zombie‘s ninth feature film, “The Munsters”, is due later this year.

Rob will head on the road for the “Freaks On Parade” U.S. tour with MUDVAYNE, STATIC-X and POWERMAN 5000. The 21-city tour kicks off on July 20 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, making stops across the U.S. in Tampa, Holmdel, Tinley Park, and more before wrapping up in The Woodlands at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on August 21.
