Texas based gothic band OCEANS OF SLUMBER have released a cover of the hit ’60s rock track “House of The Rising Sun,” the traditional folk song made famous by English group The Animals. The cover will appear in OCEANS OF SLUMBER’s upcoming album, “Starlight and Ash”, which is set for release on July 22nd. Check out the visualizer for the song below.

“Starlight and Ash” was produced by Joel Hamilton (Violet Road, Battle of Mice) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Yes, Voivod). The stunning artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Heaven Shall Burn and many more).

For those looking to catch the band in all their majesty on the road this year, The Lighthouse East Tour, a late-summer trek has been booked, kicking off in the band’s homebase of Houston on August 27. All stops on the 14-date engagement can be found below, as well as videos for the aforementioned singles.

Pre-orders are available HERE and can be purchased in the following formats:

Fronted by the inimitable power, range, and grace of vocalist Cammie Beverly, “Starlight and Ash” posits OCEANS OF SLUMBER in a league of their own. This is as much eloquent extensions of famed singer-songwriters Nick Cave and Chris Stapleton as it is the heartbreaking pulse of Type O Negative and Katatonia. “Starlight and Ash” isn’t Metal, but its edges are.

OCEANS OF SLUMBER is Cammie Beverly (vocals), Xan Fernandez (guitar), Jessie Santos (guitar), Mathew Aleman (synth), Semir Ozerkan (bass), and Dobber Beverly (drums and piano).
