OBSCURA Releases Live Album "A Celebration I - Live in North America" & Shares Video For 'Forsaken'

Today marks the release of Obscura´s hotly anticipated live album “A Celebration I – Live in North America”

Prepare to be transported to the heart of the mosh pit through Obscura‘s electrifying performance, captured live in the USA, Canada, and Mexico between 2022 and 2023 as part of the ‘A Valediction World Tour’.

To celebrate the release, the band has unveiled a mind-blowing live video for the track ‘Forsaken’, filmed in the heart of Canada by Vincent Grundke, who has been working alongside the band as a videographer and photographer since 2021. ‘Forsaken’ has already sent shockwaves through the metal world, and gets the live treatment it truly deserves in this breathtaking video.

The album has been mixed & mastered at Studio Fredman by award-winning producer and engineer Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, In Flames, At The Gates), in Gothenburg, Sweden, in collaboration with Obscura‘s architect Steffen Kummerer and Vincent Grundke, who has been working alongside the band as a videographer and photographer since 2021, provided the visual accompaniments for the record.

Frontman Steffen Kummerer comments: “Rounding out the last live video from our North American tour supporting A Valediction, we present you the opening track of our recent album ‘Forsaken’. Taken at packed and sold-out shows throughout 2022 and 2023, it was a pleasure visiting Canada to celebrate live music together with the band and an energetic audience from the first to the last note played. While we faced heavy snow storms, ice, and severe weather conditions, every second of the show made up for all our efforts. We will be back soon!“
