Fans of Iron Maiden will have the chance to meet legendary drummer Nicko McBrain in person on Tuesday, October 28. McBrain will host a meet-and-greet event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at his restaurant, Rock N Roll Ribs, located at 4651 FL-7 #1, Coral Springs, Florida, 33073. Fans can find more details on the restaurant’s official Facebook page or call 1-954-345-7429 for information (long-distance charges may apply).

During a recent appearance on Waste Some Time With Jason Green, McBrain reassured fans that he remains part of Iron Maiden, even after stepping away from touring duties.

“I’m still a member of the band, but what does that mean exactly?” he explained. “Well, I’m still part of the family, so I do a lot of work with the fan club, and I’m going out and doing still Iron Maiden-related stuff. And, yeah, it’s great.”

When asked about participating in a future Iron Maiden studio release, McBrain responded: “First of all, there’s no plans to make a new album as yet. That could change. So if that’s the case, maybe I’ll be asked to do a couple of songs.”

After more than four decades behind the drums for Iron Maiden, McBrain has shifted gears toward a new project. He recently teamed up with Modern Drummer CEO David Frangioni to launch Metal Sticks, a new podcast dedicated to the art and history of heavy metal drumming.

The series features interviews with iconic musicians, advice for drummers of all genres, and behind-the-scenes access to McBrain’s personal archive of gear and memorabilia. The goal, McBrain says, is to inspire and entertain fans of all generations while giving them a closer look into the heart of heavy metal culture.

“Heavy Metal, Drumming and Iron Maiden have been my life, and have given me so much,” McBrain said. “I am a huge fan of Modern Drummer, having been inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2019. Now David Frangioni and I can host a show that brings the audience inside the process, celebrating Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden, and the amazing community that it embodies. We created the show that we would love to watch as both fans and musicians alike.”

Season One of Metal Sticks is now streaming across all major platforms, with a deluxe video edition available on YouTube. The first season includes eight episodes featuring several segments.

According to Frangioni, the collaboration between Modern Drummer and McBrain came naturally. “Drumming, Modern Drummer, and the entire world of Heavy Metal are such a passionate group of fans that it was a natural fit to collaborate with Nicko and Iron Maiden. We all share a love of Heavy Metal, and conversations, community, and the energy around it is truly infectious. My career working with iconic artists combined with Nicko’s incredible journey brings each episode to life with both entertainment and infotainment that we can uniquely discuss with musicians, fans, and Metal Heads of all ages,” he said.

Metal Sticks is presented bi-weekly by Modern Drummer and promises to blend humor, education, and heavy metal energy in every episode. Fans can explore more about Metal Sticks through Modern Drummer’s official channels.
