Swedish progressive rock band Moon Safari announce their 20th Anniversary Tour for November and December 2025 with stops in Sweden, England, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Japan.
Marking two decades since the release of their debut album A Doorway to Summer, Moon Safari are back on the road this year with a ten-date tour following the success of last year’s shows in Europe and Japan in support of Himlabacken Vol. 2, their latest critically acclaimed studio album.
Johan Westerlund comments: “It’s an absolute privilege for us to announce our 20th Anniversary Tour. We were always joking back in the early days about how we would play together until we were 70, but as time passes and life happens, you realise that longevity in the world of music is far from a certainty. But here we are, two decades on from A Doorway to Summer, still going strong. Some would even say the STRONGEST version of the band EVER. We can’t wait to meet our friends in the audience again. ”
Pontus Åkesson comments: ”We’re really excited for these shows. Just the fact that we’re still here 20 years on is a blessing in itself, but the fact that we’re still growing as a band is even more inspiring. That’s all to do with our audience really; they keep coming back, signing along louder than ever before. And last year they really re-ignited the band, so now that we get a chance to mark this momentous occasion in our history, we really want to make it count.”
Simon Åkesson adds: ”Great fun also to be back in central Europe for a few shows, it’s been over a decade since we last played in places like Spirit of 66, so it’s about time. We honestly can’t wait. We’ll be putting together a big show with both old and new stuff that hopefully appeals to the original fans and newcomers alike.”
The tour will start in Verviers, Belgium, on Nov 20 and end in Osaka, Japan, on December 14.
