A guitar-shaped ice cream bar created by dessert maker Enlightened and with the support of the heavy metal band Metallica‘s nonprofit organization All Within My Hands (AWMH), just hits the stores on September 6. This limited-edition bar is comprised of vanilla ice cream with a dark chocolate coating and is shaped like James Hetfield‘s ESP Truckster guitar.
The ice cream bar costs $6.99 for a box of four and is sold at a few select stores around the country. The Metallica All Within My Hands foundation, which battles hunger and poverty, will receive a share of the sales revenue.
“We’re excited to partner with Enlightened to create this unique ice cream bar that celebrates our love of music and our commitment to helping others. We hope that fans will enjoy the delicious taste of this bar while also supporting a great cause,” said Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.
And Michael Shoretz, CEO and founder of Enlightened, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with All Within My Hands to create a product that not only brings joy to taste buds but also helps to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals facing food insecurity, a mission we have supported through our company history”.
Metallica is known for their philanthropic work. The American Red Cross and the World Food Program are just a couple of the charities that the band has supported throughout the years, in addition to All Within My Hands.
The guitar-shaped ice cream bar is a fun and creative way for Metallica to raise awareness for hunger and poverty. It is also a delicious treat that fans of the band are sure to enjoy; therefore, they are encouraged to act quickly if they want to try it. It is available at select retailers nationwide, including Sprouts Farmers Market, Wegmans, ShopRite, H-E-B, Weis Markets, Safeway, Foodtown, and more. Fans can also purchase the ice cream bar online at the Enlightened website.
By purchasing the guitar-shaped ice cream bar, fans can help Metallica make a difference in the lives of those in need.
