Former Megadeth guitarists Kiko Loureiro and Marty Friedman are set to reunite for an exciting Brazilian tour next spring, blending their unparalleled guitar mastery for what promises to be a truly unique experience.
Kiko shared his excitement, stating: “Big news, Brazil! I’m hitting the road with my amazing friend and guitar legend Marty Friedman as a special guest! The ‘Theory Of Mind’ tour is going to be something you’ve never seen before. It’s going to be unforgettable!”
This highly anticipated tour will span multiple cities, delivering electrifying performances at the following venues:
- May 30 – Recife/PE @ Clube Internacional
- May 31 – Fortaleza/CE @ Armazém
- June 1 – Belém/PA @ Music Park
- June 4 – Belo Horizonte/MG @ Mister Rock
- June 6 – Rio de Janeiro/RJ @ Sacadura 154
- June 7 – São Paulo/SP @ Tokio Marine Hall
- June 8 – Curitiba/PR @ Ópera de Arame
This announcement comes after a notable year for Kiko. Following his departure from Megadeth in September 2023, he revealed that he had recommended to Dave Mustaine to bring Marty Friedman back to the band ranks.
“Actually, I even mentioned to management and Dave that I thought bringing Marty Friedman back would be amazing,” Kiko told Guitar World magazine. “I have no idea if they’re talking about it or talking to him, but I did say that.“
While the spot ultimately went to Finnish guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, Kiko and Marty’s collaboration for this tour marks a thrilling moment for fans of both legendary musicians.
