Since 2008, FREQUENCY DRIFT have been blending complex musical elements such as Art Rock, Folk or Metal into their sound, calling the resulting mix “Cinematic Progressive Rock”. On April 13, 2018, the group from Bayreuth will be releasing their eighth studio album titled Letters To Maro. Today, their brand new video for the song “Electricity” – which can be seen below – has been premiered by Classic Rock Germany (For those familiar with the teutonic tongue, the original article in German can be found in this location)

The rich, atmospheric music of FREQUENCY DRIFT is one that remains compelling and ever-changing: if cinematic progressive-rock verging with metal – and in occasions blending escapades of classical chamber harmonies, a touch of jazz and even pastoral intermissions – sounds like your cup of tea, or if you find the moods conjured by ’70s Pink Floyd to be generally appealing, I certainly suspect this is a band you need to check out.
