Five Finger Death Punch, the multi-platinum heavy metal band, is marking its 20th anniversary with a fresh take on its greatest hits through the release of Best Of – Volume 1, now available on all major platforms. This collection features re-recorded versions of the band’s most popular chart-toppers, a move that follows the recent sale of their original master recordings by their former label — a decision made without the band’s knowledge or the chance to reclaim those masters.
Faced with this unexpected development, Five Finger Death Punch decided to turn the situation into an opportunity. Rather than simply remixing or remastering their classic tracks, the band opted to re-record them entirely for the 2025 edition. This effort serves as a tribute not only to the songs themselves but also to the fans who have supported the band throughout their two-decade journey.
Although the band acknowledges the importance of the original recordings and the collaborators involved, they are eager to offer revitalized versions of fan-favorite tracks like “The Bleeding”, “Bad Company”, and “Wrong Side of Heaven”. The re-recordings represent a new chapter for the group and their listeners around the world.
Alongside the album release, Five Finger Death Punch unveiled a new lyric video for the re-recorded version of “Wash It All Away”, a track originally featured on their platinum-certified 2015 album Got Your Six.
A standout from the 20th-anniversary collection is the single “I Refuse”, which has become a long-time fan favorite. Now reimagined and featuring guest vocals from Maria Brink of In This Moment, the track has climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart this week. The band noted the poetic timing of its release, as “I Refuse” was always intended to be a single.
Best Of – Volume 1 is accessible on all streaming services and has been released globally in various physical formats. These include a standard CD, an exclusive CD available at Walmart, and a range of collectible vinyl editions. Vinyl variants include versions exclusive to Walmart, Best Buy, the official Five Finger Death Punch webstore, indie retailers, and a special limited edition via Revolver magazine. Fans can also purchase a commemorative merchandise collection celebrating the band’s 20th anniversary through the band’s official online store.
Over the past five years, Five Finger Death Punch has consistently maintained a top-three position on the Billboard Hard Rock charts. The band also holds a record with 11 consecutive No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, the longest such streak in the chart’s history. With 28 top 10 singles and 16 No. 1 hits on Active Rock radio, the band has released nine consecutive studio albums since 2007, seven of which have earned gold or platinum certification from the RIAA. They’ve also released two greatest-hits albums that topped the charts.
