Finnish gothic metal band For My Pain… are making a comeback exactly 20 years after their debut album.

The debut album “Fallen” was released worldwide in 2003 by Spinefarm Records/Universal Music. The original lineup featured Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) on keyboards and Petri Sankala (ex-Eternal Tears of Sorrow, ex-Kalmah) on drums. Catchy songs and enchanting melodies earned the band remarkable attention all over the metal scene and stole the dark hearts of gothic metal fans. A year after the debut, the “Killing Romance” EP was released, including three new songs. This remained as the final release and the band ceased activity in 2005.

For My Pain… confirms that the following “silent years” were not idle ones; newly composed singles will see daylight in 2024. Vocalist Juha Kylmänen commented: “The original atmosphere, which made leaves wither from the trees, is here again. Are you ready for the beautiful world with black and grey tones only?”

This reunion will not only bring new music, but touring plans will also follow. The official comeback show is slated for May 3, 2024, at Kantakrouvi in Oulu, Finland.
