Rock veterans Cheap Trick are set to drop their 21st studio album, All Washed Up, on Friday, November 14, via BMG. The release will be available digitally, on standard black vinyl, and on CD. For collectors, a limited-edition Orange Marble LP version — restricted to only 1,000 copies — can be pre-ordered through the band’s new D2C store.
Following their 2021 album In Another World, All Washed Up was co-produced by the band and Julian Raymond, with mixing handled by Chris Lord-Alge. Recording took place across several studios in Nashville — including Sound Emporium Studios, Blackbird, Love Shack, and Zen — as well as Los Angeles’ Sweetzerland Studios throughout 2024.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Robin Zander expressed his pride in the new project, saying: “Just one more great album from the best rock band in the world.”
Zander went on to describe All Washed Up simply: “It’s Cheap Trick. It sounds like us. It’s got some good, bad and ugly on it, just like our other records.”
Since forming in 1974, Cheap Trick has remained a cornerstone of American rock, known for their instantly recognizable pop-rock style and catalog of timeless hits, including “He’s A Whore”, “California Man”, “Dream Police”, “Surrender”, “I Want You To Want Me”, and their chart-topping global single “The Flame”.
Today’s lineup features three original members — Robin Zander, Rick Nielsen, and Tom Petersson. Drummer Bun E. Carlos stepped back from touring in 2010, with Daxx Nielsen, Rick’s son, taking his place. Joining them onstage is Robin Taylor Zander, Robin’s son, who contributes rhythm guitar and vocals, keeping the family legacy alive as the band enters its next chapter.
