Black Label Society has dropped a brand-new single titled “Broken and Blind” through MNRK Heavy/Spinefarm. This marks the band’s third recent release, following “Lord Humungus” (February 2025) and “The Gallows” (September 2024), as they gear up for their upcoming studio album set for early 2026. The new track is available on all major streaming services, and fans can check out the official video—directed by longtime collaborator Justin Reich—online now.
Frontman and guitarist Zakk Wylde shared some trademark humor when discussing the new song. He said: “What’s going on gang? This is Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society. This is a new song called “Broken And Blind”. The song is about peanut butter and chocolate and what happens when you don’t have any of it. My soul is broken and I’m blind with rage if I don’t have any peanut butter and chocolate, so there you go, it’s a new song called “Broken And Blind”. Thank you, have a great day.”
Once released, the new record will become Black Label Society’s twelfth studio album, following Doom Crew Inc., which arrived in November 2021 via MNRK Heavy.
The band recently headlined the first-ever Berzerkus music festival—founded by Wylde himself—on September 14, 2024, at Poconos Park in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The event also featured outlaw country star Cody Jinks as co-headliner.
Formed in 1998 by Wylde, Black Label Society has remained active for over two decades, balancing its recording and touring schedule with Wylde’s long-running role as guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, a collaboration that dates back more than 35 years.
