Interview with Gill Montgomery (The Amorettes)

While today’s music scene seemingly more and more according to the formula “style is more important than substance”, the Scottish hard rock trio The Amorettes have a very simple plan: to conquer the world, a show after the other one! No antics! No frills! Just good, classic hard rock with great songs. The band formed in 2009 and their uninterrupted tours through England and Europe have turned them into a graceful, mean, rock’ n’ roll ripping machine, bringing the rock genre back to its classic roots and gaining the reference of “The Female Motörhead.”

The Scottish rockers have a new studio album called Born to Break scheduled to be released through Steamhammer/SPV on April 6, 2018. Author and contributor Eric Woody had the opportunity to speak with singer/guitarist Gill Montgomery to discuss details about the new album among other things as well as some history about the band. You can listen to the full conversation in the video below.
