Swedish boogie rock’ n’ rollers Transport League have premiered with us today their new video of a landmark song. Celebrating one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, Soundgarden, they have put together their very own version of the timeless classic “Black Hole Sun”. The song features the great Robert “Rib Guz” Ritchiesse on viola da gamba, harp fiddle and Celtic harp.
Guitar player and vocalist Tony Jelencovich weights in. “We accepted the challenge to make a cover of this timeless song“, he says. “Chris Cornell was an outstanding vocalist and this is our contribution to the memory of his legacy. Me and my boys, together with Robert “Rob Guz” Ritchiesse, did a great job on this and the Roberto Laghi production and mix is top notch“.
Drums, guitars, bass & vocals were played by Transport League, and the song was recorded, engineered at Grand Recordings by Roberto Laghi and mixed & mastered by him at Oral Majority Recordings. Viola da Gamba, hard fiddle & celtic harp were recorded at X-Gene studio.
The “Black Hole Sun” video is a follow up to their latest release “A Million Volt Scream”, from 2019, which can be ordered on CD & vinyl at www.targetshop.dk
