Michael lives in Rockland County, New York. One of his earliest, memorable assignments was coverage of the 2002 Clearwater Festival, an annual celebration of music, arts and environmental activism dating back to the mid-1960s. It was here where Michael photographed a performance by the legendary Richie Havens - and his passion for concert photography was born.
